Our busy personal injury law office is growing, and we need a pre-lit legal case manager to work alongside attorneys and achieve our clients’ goals. Our ideal candidate will have experience in case management as a paralegal or legal assistant and is skilled in drafting documents, managing case files, and managing medical treatment. We need someone who is an effective communicator, incredibly organized, and self-motivated. Our case managers play an essential role in ensuring that our clients’ goals are met. Responsibilities: • Organize and maintain all case files, and information concerning engagement, whether electronic or paper, in accordance with the law firm policies • Communicate case status with clients and outside counsel as requested • Conduct legal research to obtain documentation regarding health insurance, social security, medical records, and medical providers • Consult with attorneys and provide recommendations with regard to cost and time-effective ways to accomplish the client’s goals • Coordinate between attorneys, staff, and outside vendors to manage the law firm’s case load, present case summaries/updates, and ensure that deadlines are met Qualifications: • Previous case management process experience is needed - preferably as a personal injury case manager, or related jobs such as paralegal, legal secretary, or legal assistant at a law firm, non-profit, or human services agency • Legal research and legal document drafting experience is critical • Exceptional organizational skills as well as effective communication skills, both written and oral are needed • High school diploma is required - 2-year degree and Paralegal certification are acceptable, but a Bachelor’s degree is preferred • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet presentation, and case management software
