    Our busy law office is growing, and we need a legal case manager to work alongside attorneys and achieve clients’ goals. Our ideal candidate will have experience in case management as a paralegal or legal assistant and be skilled in drafting documents, managing case files, and conducting legal research. We need someone who is an effective communicator, incredibly organized, and self-motivated. Our case managers play an essential role in ensuring that clients’ goals are met. Responsibilities: • Assess legal documents to assure compliance to all legal requirements • Advise attorneys with cost and time-effective recommendations to accomplish the client’s goals • Assist attorneys with all aspects of case management, including docketing deadlines, billing, and providing reminders as necessary • Update clients and outside counsel on case status as requested • Perform legal research to obtain documentation regarding health insurance, medical records, social security, and medical providers • Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status, treatment updates, and next steps. • Communicate and negotiate with insurance adjusters regarding claims, property damage, medical bills, and settlements. • Coordinate medical treatment updates and gather supporting documentation. • Request, review, and organize medical records and billing information. • Work closely with attorneys to ensure cases progress efficiently. • Maintain accurate and organized case files and notes within the case management system. • Track deadlines, follow-ups, and outstanding items on active cases. • Assist with preparing demand packages and settlement documentation. Qualifications: • Exceptional organizational skills as well as effective communication skills, both written and oral are needed • Professional case management process experience is needed - preferably as a personal injury case manager, or related jobs such as legal assistant, legal secretary, or paralegal, at a non-profit, law firm, or human services agency • High school diploma is required - 2-year degree and Paralegal certification are acceptable, but a Bachelor’s degree is preferred • Extensive experience conducting legal research, and drafting legal documents is essential • Ability to multitask and stay self-motivated Excellent communication and client service skills. Bilingual in English and Spanish. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Detail-oriented with strong follow-through skills. Comfortable communicating with clients, medical providers, and insurance companies daily. Experience in personal injury case management preferred. Familiarity with legal software and case management systems is a plus. Compensation: COP $4.2 million monthly
