    Legal Counsel

    OVERVIEW

    Fisher Investments is a global, growth-oriented investment management organization established over 45 years ago. Its

    core business is providing discretionary investment management services to both institutions and private clients across

    the US, UK, Europe, Canada, Australia, Asia and the Middle East. This is an exciting opportunity for a lawyer to join a

    collaborative in-house legal team and be an important contributor to the organization's continued growth and expansion

    across the globe. The ideal candidate will have a love of learning, enjoy digging into new areas of law, and thrive when

    developing and implementing creative and practical legal solutions across international and domestic matters.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Research and provide legal and regulatory analysis and advice on financial services and investment management,

    privacy, employment, and other laws and regulations globally.

    • Conduct legal analysis of complex topics and translate findings into practical, succinct legal advice for business

    stakeholders.

    • Participate in ad-hoc regulatory and business projects, including implementation of new legislation or regulatory

    requirements.

    • Launch new regulated entities, including incorporation and licensing processes.

    • Draft or review various documents in support of the business globally, including commercial contracts, employment

    agreements, investment management agreements, fund documentation, policies, and business guidelines.

    • Handle corporate law, commercial matters, employment law, and litigation matters.

    • Draft, review, and negotiate vendor contracts; coordinate with external counsel as needed.

    • Train and mentor paralegals, fellow lawyers, and business colleagues on new or changing regulations and other

    matters.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Law degree from an accredited law school with admission to a bar.

    • 6+ years' post-qualification experience, with at least 3 years at a mid-to-large sized law firm.

    • Demonstrated skill in effectively balancing business interests against legal and regulatory risks, factoring in strategic

    goals and the broader organizational picture.

    • Familiarity with international investment management, employment, or privacy laws across various jurisdictions is

    beneficial but not mandatory.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex legal matters clearly and

    concisely.

    • MBA, CFA, JD, or comparable advanced credential preferred.

    COMPENSATION

    • Eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
