    Who We’re Looking For

    As Legal Counsel at Batbox, you’re a versatile problem-solver and trusted advisor who thrives at the intersection of business and law. You’re not just reviewing contracts – you’re laying the legal foundation that protects our brand, and enables Batbox to scale nationally and internationally.

    Based in Dallas and reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this hybrid role spans contract drafting, corporate governance, intellectual property, compliance, and strategic transactions. You’ll draft licensing and partnership agreements, safeguard our IP, support entity management across the U.S. and LATAM.     Your Impact

    Contract Drafting & Review

    Draft and review a wide range of commercial agreements, including:

    Licensing agreements (domestic and international)

    Brand partnerships and sponsorship deals

    Vendor, service, and installation contracts

    Venue leases, management agreements, and strategic alliances

    Manage redlines and coordinate with internal stakeholders and Jackson Walker LLP. as needed.

    Corporate Governance & Structure

    Support entity management across Batbox Holdings, Batbox Simulators LLC, and all U.S./LATAM subsidiaries.

    Prepare board consents, resolutions, and ensure corporate documentation is properly filed and archived.

    Assist with corporate structuring and reorganization projects as the company expands across states or countries.

    Intellectual Property & Brand Protection

    Coordinate registration of trademarks, patents, and copyrights across the U.S. and LATAM.

    Work with external IP counsel to protect software, gameplay elements, brands, and content.

    Monitor and enforce IP protection policies and brand usage guidelines.

    Compliance & Policies

    Ensure all core policies and legal documents are up to date, including:

    Privacy policy

    Website terms & conditions

    Booking terms & waivers

    Licensing program documents

    Maintain and evolve legal templates and frameworks across all business lines.

    Support compliance with U.S. employment, consumer, tech, and advertising laws.

    Labor & Employment Support

    Provide legal guidance and support to the Chief People Officer on matters related to compliance, employee relations, and other workforce issues.

    Coordinate with JW on any employment-related legal issues or disputes.

    M&A, Fundraising & Strategic Transactions

    Support the CEO and executive team in reviewing and coordinating:

    M&A transactions and spin-offs

    Fundraising rounds (SAFEs, convertible notes, equity)

    Debt and credit agreements

    Help manage NDAs, data rooms, cap tables, and legal diligence materials.

    Legal Coordination & Strategy

    Act as the internal bridge between Batbox and Jackson Walker LLP.

    Manage and prioritize all inbound legal matters from across the organization.

    Own legal operations workflows, maintain visibility on key matters, and help the company operate efficiently and in compliance.

    Keys to Success

    Have 5+ years of legal experience in a law firm or in-house environment (corporate, transactional, or commercial).

    Are confident in drafting and negotiating agreements independently.

    Have a strong understanding of legal frameworks around licensing, branding, venue operations, and intellectual property.

    Possess working knowledge of U.S. labor and employment law (Texas experience preferred).

    Can navigate cross-functional environments and coordinate between legal and business teams.

    Are fluent in English (Spanish proficiency is a big plus).

    Are detail-oriented, organized, and thrive in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.

    What We Offer

    $110,000 - $140,000 USD base salary, depending on experience and qualifications
