We are seeking a detail-oriented legal records manager and receptionist who can retrieve files for our attorneys and staff quickly and efficiently, keep accurate records of the location of the files and their contents, and answer incoming calls. Our ideal candidate will adhere to our retention policy regarding the proper handling of paper and electronic records and manage our expansive database of documents. Responsibilities: • Verify that documents are secure, that confidentiality is maintained, and chain of custody is noted • Maintain the filing system and database of documents • Oversee proper file room procedures by reviewing file contents to determine the ideal location and logging information into the database • Adhere to the most current policy regarding destruction or document retention • Inspect files to confirm whether documents should be retained, stored, or destroyed Scan, copy, and save documents Answer telephone calls at reception Organize files for Court and Trial Deal with the intake of potential new clients Qualifications: • Proficiency in computer skills and maintaining a database is necessary • Successful completion of high school or equivalent Spanish Speaking Compensation: $18 hourly Negotiable
