A top law firm is seeking a Marketing Assistant to join its Chicago office. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career marketing professional to gain hands-on experience supporting a sophisticated law firm’s marketing and business development efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Marketing & Business Development team, including scheduling, calendars, meeting materials, and departmental files.
- Process vendor invoices, track expenses, and assist with marketing budget administration.
- Maintain marketing materials, templates, logos, attorney photos, and other shared resources.
- Track attorney and firm rankings, submissions, and related deadlines.
- Maintain and update attorney bios, firm collateral, brochures, and other marketing materials.
- Assist with mailing lists, client communications, and contact/database management.
- Coordinate logistics for firm events, webinars, conferences, and sponsorships, including RSVPs, venues, catering, materials, and follow-up.
- Create and update presentations using PowerPoint and Canva.
- Assist with website updates, including attorney biographies, news, and events.
- Support email marketing, newsletters, event invitations, and internal communications.
- Maintain the firm's social media calendar and post approved content.
- Track website, email, and social media engagement metrics.
- Maintain project trackers and assist with monthly and quarterly marketing activity reports.
- Serve as a resource for marketing-related requests from attorneys and staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1–2+ years of office or marketing experience, preferably within a law firm, accounting firm, consulting firm, or other professional services environment.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with Canva is a plus.
- Familiarity with CRM, email marketing, website content management, or similar platforms is preferred.
- Professional demeanor and ability to work effectively with attorneys and staff at all levels.
- Proactive, adaptable approach with a willingness to assist across a variety of marketing and administrative projects.
