About the Role
This pivotal role offers the opportunity to support three dynamic Partners across our thriving Insurance, Labor & Employment, and Construction practices. You'll be instrumental in managing a diverse range of tasks, leveraging your expertise in e-filing in state and federal courts (MA, RI, CT, and NY preferred) and meticulously preparing, processing, and organizing legal documents. You'll play a key role in maintaining our document management systems (we use iManage!), ensuring seamless operations and efficient client service within a highly respected firm.
What You'll Do:
- Master Document Management: Prepare, format, and proofread a wide array of legal documents, including pleadings, correspondence, and memoranda. You'll be a pro at using iManage and keeping our electronic and paper files in perfect order.
- Navigate Court Systems: Handle e-filing with ease in various state and federal courts, especially if you have experience in MA, RI, CT, and NY. You'll also manage our docketing program (Docket Enterprise), ensuring all critical dates are tracked.
- Provide Essential Administrative Support: From managing calendars and scheduling meetings to answering phones and communicating with clients, you'll be the go-to person for administrative needs.
- Leverage Legal Tech: You'll be comfortable with legal platforms like InTapp Time, Adobe Acrobat, Chrome River, and DTE, or similar systems.
- Support Client Relationships: Assist with client onboarding and ensure compliance with client requirements, contributing to excellent service.
Who You Are:
- An experienced legal assistant with a background in litigation, preferably within a large firm environment.
- Proficient in e-filing procedures for MA, RI, CT, and NY courts.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Technically savvy, with a strong grasp of legal software and document management systems.
- A proactive team player who can manage multiple deadlines independently.
