LEGAL ASSISTANT - LITIGATION - JOB DESCRIPTION

Established and prestigious international law firm seeks an experienced litigation Legal Assistant to join them in a temporary-to-hire capacity beginning right away in their downtown Miami office. This is for a very busy and exciting group that practices Insurance Defense Litigation.

LEGAL ASSISTANT - LITIGATION - REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified applicant must have a minimum three years’ litigation experience, preferably working on Insurance Defense Litigation cases; but firm will consider any litigation practice area. MUST have knowledge enough to be able to work at a fast pace.

Requirements:

• Highly organized, pays close attention to detail, efficient, excellent written and verbal communication skills and can work well with team members
• Scheduling and e-filing experience
• Must be familiar and able to follow client billing guidelines, enter and record accurate billing entries and know state and federal court rules
• Ability to handle multiple priorities
• Team player attitude
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Prior trial experience is a plus

This is a temp-to hire position, but the firm may consider a direct hire in certain instances. Once perm, the firm offers excellent benefits and a salary in the range of $45- 60K, commensurate with experience.
