High-level and rapidly growing plaintiffs' personal injury firm seeks a talented, forward-thinking Legal Technology Specialist to join our dynamic team. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Legal Operations, this role will be instrumental in advancing our firm's technological capabilities to better serve clients. The Legal Technology Specialist will bridge the gap between legal practice and technology, focusing on implementing and optimizing our case management software, Filevine. This position requires a unique blend of legal and technological expertise to drive operational efficiency and innovation within the firm. Manage existing firm-wide software systems, including Egnyte, Microsoft 365, and Kofax, in conjunction with our outside IT management company. • System Optimization: Regularly assess the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of IT systems, software applications, and vendors. Recommend and implement improvements to address the firm's needs. • Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest trends in legal technology, particularly AI applications relevant to personal injury law. Implement innovative solutions to enhance firm efficiency and revenue. • Training and Development: Develop and conduct training programs for staff on new technologies and best practices. • Project Collaboration: Work closely with the VP of Legal Operations on technology-related projects and initiatives. • Continuous Learning: Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive developments through ongoing education, conference attendance, and professional networking. Qualifications: Required: • 3+ years of experience in technology (legal technology, paralegal work, or a similar role within the legal industry, not required but definitely a plus). • Experience with legal document generation and case management software systems (e.g., Filevine, MyCase, Clio, Smokeball, FVDA, ClioDraft, Westlaw Form Builder, HotDocs, TXdocs). • Strong technical skills, including document automation and basic coding. • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. • Proximity to McKinney, TX. This is not a remote position. Preferred: • Experience administering and configuring a law firm's case management system, including setting up and maintaining user accounts, customizing workflows and templates, managing system-wide settings and integrations, implementing data migration and upgrades, and developing custom reports and dashboards. • Familiarity with personal injury law and related workflows. • Experience with AI applications in the legal sector. • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Information Technology, Legal Studies). • Knowledge of data analytics and reporting tools.
