We are looking for a skilled accountant to play a key role in our growing team. You’ll be responsible for bookkeeping, payroll, sales tax, and business management functions. Responsibilities: • Properly record financial transactions • Ensure transactions are recorded properly in all ledgers • Bookkeeping: Enter data, maintain records and produce financial reports Qualifications: • Must possess exceptional communication, problem-solving, and time management skills • Strong knowledge of QuickBooks, Excel, and basic accounting systems • At least 2 years of work experience at an accounting firm or as a cost accountant, management accountant, bookkeeper, or related position • Must be well-versed in general accepted accounting principles (GAAP) • 5+ years of work experience at an accounting or bookkeeping firm as a bookkeeper, accountant, or similar position • Strong current knowledge of QuickBooks Online (QBO ProAdvisor Preferred) and Excel • Experience with payroll systems (i.e. Gusto and ADP) preferred • Experience with sales tax calculations and filings preferred • Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills • Strong understanding of GAAP accounting, making journal entries, completing reconciliations, and trial balances • Experience with business management (A/R, A/P, bill pay) preferred • Ability to spot errors with new client books and perform cleanup/back work as necessary • Ability to work closely with in-house CPA at tax time for tax return prep Compensation: $50,000 - $65,000 yearly
