Responsibilities: • Minimize the client’s tax liability by using each tax deduction and credit available to them • Serve as a liaison between tax authorities and the client, submitting the final tax forms on their behalf • Honor client privacy by keeping confidential documents safe and organized • Advise the client on tax planning steps they can take to ensure they fulfill all tax obligations and continue to pay the minimum amount of taxes in the future • Set up meetings with clients to provide a consultation and a price quote • Ensure taxes are filed on time by explaining the tax process to clients and informing them of all deadlines • Schedule consultations to go over tax strategy with clients and provide a price estimate • Analyze each client’s financial records, including their income statements and previous tax returns to suggest creative customized strategies • Review each tax form to make sure everything is accurate and ensure tax compliance • Serve as a liaison between tax authorities and the client, submitting the final tax forms on their behalf • Honor client privacy by keeping confidential documents safe and organized Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required • Five years of experience working as a tax preparer • Experience using standard tax software to file returns • Proficient computer skills and experience with Microsoft Excel • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal • Strong knowledge in Lacerte required • Minimum 5+ years' of tax preparation experience • CPA or EA license preferred • Strong communication and analytical skills • Strong knowledge in QBO preferred • Master's degree in taxation preferred Compensation: $75,000 - $100,000 yearly
