    General Job Description:

    The Principal serves as a member of the Administrative Team of Leman Classical Education and shall assume responsibility for the general leadership and administration of the K-8 school consistent with School Board approved mission, philosophy, guiding principles, policies, and annual budgetary commitments/constraints. Line of Authority/Reports to: The Principal shall be directly responsible to the Head of Schools for Leman Classical Education.

    Qualifications/Minimum Requirements:

    ?Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s in Educational Leadership.

    ?At least three years of successful teaching experience.

    ?Proven leadership ability promoting collaborative decision making.

    ?Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to positively impact community, parents, scholars, administrators, faculty, and staff.

    ?Strong commitment to supporting and safeguarding the principles of excellence in education.

    ?Working knowledge of learning theory, instructional methodology, curriculum development, and teacher observation/evaluation.

    ?Working knowledge and understanding of school finances and operational budget.

    ?Ability to manage conflict resolution with an attitude of humility and service.

    ?Working knowledge and understanding of Classical curricula and learning.

    ?Working knowledge and understanding of Charlotte Mason educational philosophy and methodology.

    ?Working knowledge and understanding of Colorado State and Common Core Standards.

    ?Working knowledge and understanding of computers and computer software applications such as word processing, spreadsheets and other applications tailored to specific departmental needs.

    ?Working knowledge and understanding of Data-Driven Instruction.

    Job Goals/Duties and Areas of Responsibility:

    ?Assures high academic performance outcomes for all scholars.

    ?Promote the educational, moral, social development of the scholars.

    ?Promote and cultivate a culture of caring, citizenship, perseverance, respect, responsibility and trustworthiness within the school community.

    ?Promote the core values of academic excellence, partnering with families, scholars and learning

    ?Coordinate and assist with creating systematic plans for curriculum development, best practices for instruction, meaningful assessment and professional development.

    ?Develop a comprehensive and well planned professional development program.

    ?Coordinate and assist with the ongoing development and articulation of curriculum maps that support and meet the needs of all scholars through differentiated instruction and the essential learning outcomes.

    ?Support the goals of teaching and implementing the Colorado State and Common Core Standards.

    ?Direct and implement professional growth and learning opportunities for faculty through in-services, professional improvement plan, formal and informal evaluations that lead to effective and excellent instruction.

    ?Provide instructional leadership for outcomes, providing faculty and staff direction and collaboration with curriculum, instruction and assessment.

    ?Promote and model excellent qualities in service leadership, educational leadership, symbolic leadership, and cultural leadership.

    ?Maintain effective lines of communication between the staff and administration, and between administration/staff with Governing Board.

    ?Foster a supportive, partnering relationship between parents and faculty, staff and administration.

    ?Implement and enforce all approved school policies by the board.

    Expectations:

    ?Participate in the Leadership Summit in July

    ?Shepherd and instructional coach assigned teachers with consistency and purpose

    ?Plan observations and post-conferences monthly which means securing a guest teacher, creating model lesson plans for that guest teacher, observing, conferencing with assigned teachers, and being

    available throughout the week to help and serve assigned teachers.

    ?Build trust with each assigned teacher

    ?Work with Professional Development Coordinator to solve challenges as they arise

    Compensation:

    Leman Academy offers a very competitive benefits package and overall compensation will be commensurate with talent, experience and education.

    Salary Range: $91,520 - $117,260 annually

    Leman Academy offers a very competitive benefits package and overall compensation will be commensurate with talent, experience and education. As a Leman Academy of Excellence Employee, you shall be afforded benefits if you work thirty (30) hours or more each week, all as prescribed in the Personnel Policies of the School, and such revision thereof as are made and approved by the Board of Directors of the School all of which have been adopted by the School. Benefits eligibility and enrollment for Employees working thirty (30) hours or more per week include but are not limited to:

    ?Voluntary medical insurance, vision plan, and dental plan; enrollment for Employees

    beginning employment are effective the first of the month following start date of full time

    employment unless agreed upon by administration.

    ?Life Insurance, Accidental Death and Dismemberment, Long and Short Term Disability

    benefits are effective the first day of the month following start date of full time employment.

    ?Leman is a PERA Employer.

    ?If the Employee is terminated, the Employee will be covered with all benefits described

    above until the last day of the month in which they terminate.

    ?Benefits eligibility and enrollment continue for current admin/Employees who sign a new

    Agreement. Retirement plan and long-term disability eligibility and enrollment are based on

    the beginning date of employment in the initial Agreement.
