TITLE: Software Developer

OVERVIEW:

The Software Developer will join a team to build-out APIs and backend software solutions to provide advancement in technology platforms and continue working towards continuous deployment in a high-release cadence, agile environments. The primary responsibilities of the Software Developer include further development of our core business applications and to be a key contributor to our architectural and design strategies.

Reporting directly to the Director of IT as a member of the IT department, the Software Developer will engage directly with all levels of the organization and effectively working alongside leadership, IT Administrators, and operational support teams to ensure successful design, development, and delivery. The role will also include system analysis, platform design, and architecture.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Development across multiple business-driven technology initiatives.
• Work with vendor development teams on the design and implementation of Enterprise Application Solutions using state of art design and implementation techniques.
• Support current and future initiatives including development, testing and production support activities.
• Design and implement highly distributed, scalable processes -Data Enrichments using SSIS/SSRS, Strong data enrichment & delivery techniques using C# or Java, Python, Mongo, SQL Server, SSIS, and AutoSys.
• Expected to work closely with business partners and analysts in order to understand the data requirements and to analyze and design the necessary data flow and database design.
• Assures quality, maintainability, and extensibility for supported systems and risk applications.
• Ability to perform tuning and designing high data volume for high performance.
• The successful candidate will need to have advanced information delivery and development skills in order to create effective data solutions that can be easily maintained and extended to meet the growing demands of the organization.
• Effectively communicate application/data design to other members of the team to ensure proper implementation and utilization of the data structures.
• Support ongoing ETL efforts for Development, QA and Production environments.
• Ability to support current applications during off business hours.
• Experienced with code management, change management and deployment controls and processes.
• Pays attention to details and has strong communication skills both in verbal and written and the ability to communicate effectively with peers and business users.

PLUSES:

• Experienced in SFDC development using Visualforce Pages and Components, Apex Classes, Custom Controllers and Controller extensions, SOQL, SOSL, MVC architecture and Force.com IDE
• 5+ years of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) experience
• 5+ years of Agile experience
• 5+ years of RESTful or SOAP web services
• 3+ years of Tableau/Power BI experience
• 3+ years of JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) development experience
• Knowledge and understanding of Mortgage/Financial Environment
• Knowledge and understanding of Big Data
• Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex technical problems
• Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
• Ability to communicate effectively with all members of the organization.
• Ability to develop and promote creative alternatives as a way to solve for business requirements
• Knowledge and understanding of multiple source code version control systems.
• Creating and technical documentation: the creation of detailed design and technical product flow.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant discipline, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of full-time software development experience
• Solid understanding of MS SQL stored procedures and queries
• Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and AJAX
• Experience with design patterns and OWASP security
• Experience with WCF, XML and web services development
• Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
• Team-player with strong communication and interpersonal skills, possess a high degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated experience with the Software Development Lifecycle concepts and techniques including secure development methodologies
• Experience in MVC, developing for mobile platforms, working with social media and mash-up integration with SiteXPro, Optimal Blue API, etc.

REQUIREMENTS:

Physical: Work is primarily sedentary; mobility in an office setting.

Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of computer keyboard and mouse.

Audio/Visual: Ability to accurately interpret sounds and associated meanings at a volume consistent with interpersonal conversation. Regularly required to accurately perceive, distinguish and interpret information received visually and through audio; e.g., words, numbers and other data broadcasted aloud/viewed on a screen, as well as print and other media.

Environmental: Office environment no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
