Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS AND DESIRED SKILLS: 2 TO 3+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN A JUNIOR OR MID-LEVEL LEGAL ROLE WITH A HEDGE FUND ADMINISTRATOR, INVESTMENT ADVISER OR A LAW FIRM WITHIN AN INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT (EXPERIENCE WITH HEDGE FUNDS IS A SIGNIFICANT BENEFIT);

Law degree preferred (this is not an attorney position but someone with a law degree and experience as an attorney is preferred); excellent verbal, written and organizational skills including the ability to prioritize multiple tasks possess a strong sense of urgency and excellent judgment; strong attention to detail; ability to learn quickly; strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES : Drafting and negotiating administration/service agreements as well as amendments to such agreements; reviewing client offering documents, organizational documents and subscription documents and working with internal teams to provide comments back to client/client counsel; provision of representation letters on behalf of clients to banks, brokers, auditors and regulators; collecting and reviewing client capacity and authority documentation, tax documentation, and AML documentation; coordinating the review and resolution of issues/questions that arise from the investor services or accounting areas (new issue, benefit plan investor status, pledges, transfers).
