The Audit Senior will report directly to the Audit Partner in charge and thrive personally and professionally under their leadership. Throughout the year, Audit Seniors will work on a full range of services, including financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations, and consulting. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire for challenge and career advancement as partnership is just a couple years away, for the right candidate.
Essential duties will include:
- Lead audit engagements from planning to completion
- Coordinated fieldwork logistics of engagement with client
- Review workpapers prepared by associates and provide feedback
- Communicate regularly with clients to answer questions, obtain information, and discuss audit issues
- Perform detailed testing of financial statement balances and transactions
- Prepare and review financial statements and related disclosures
- Track budgets to ensure projects are completed efficiently and within client deadlines
- Identify and communicate audit findings to management
- Stay current on industry trends and changes in regulations
- Perform research and documentation of technical issues
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA, or CPA eligibility
- Minimum two years of audit experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and auditing standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented and organized
