FIELD SPECIALIST
POSITION SUMMARY
The FIELD SPECIALIST position is a hands-on job and will be responsible for self-performed work in support of our Field Project Managers in all aspects of the projects to which he/she is assigned. The successful candidate will have experience with hands on work in residential service, be familiar with following punch lists, have a keen eye for quality, and following directions from project management staff in order to deliver a superior work product. This is an opportunity to learn and grow while providing critical support to a dynamic field team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with internal services team as well as external sub-vendors to complete projects and punch lists on-time.
- Coordinate and schedule work directly with sub-vendors to complete open issues.
- Be able to complete hands on tasks and punch work in residential properties.
- Perform quality control inspections and ensure all identified punch list items are completed either by the subcontractor or you as the working specialist.
- Complete property inspections, deliver materials, Close out project deficiency lists
- Communicate issues and problems that may delay projects
- Able to complete some basic repairs as needed to reduce cycle times.
- Responsible for ensuring all punch list items are completed and days to completion are achieved.
- Ensure all workplace safety standards and practices are upheld.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong hands-on knowledge of the basic workings of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, flooring, appliance, landscaping, and irrigation systems
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail & high-performance standards
- Strong communication skills (both oral & written)
- Ability to work efficiently in a multi-task environment
- Proven record of working independently
- An effective team player
- Ability to work when work needs to be done
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE DESIRED
- High School Graduate
- Individuals with SFR and multi-unit maintenance experience desired
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds at a time
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Will require frequent travel throughout the local area to visit job sites. Will be exposed to the normal weather elements of the market. Will be exposed to a varying level of construction sites.
