    Job Description

    We are seeking an ACCOUNTING MANAGER who is bright, friendly, and can thrive in an informal and fun work environment. Our Accounting Manager is part of a team of six full- and part-time employees who work collaboratively with LCI corporate officers to administer the firm. This position is well suited for professionals with strong time-management skills and who enjoy the challenge of performing multiple tasks and requests. This position is for our northern California office located in Concord, CA.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Direct 2 staff developing monthly invoices
    • Create monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management, board of directors, and shareholder meetings, as needed
    • Manage Ajera-software accounting system (including the creation of new dashboards and managing user roles)
    • Projects set-up & closure
    • Cash flow management and projection(s)
    • Bank accounts reconciliation
    • Tax-related matters
    • Create an annual estimated budget
    • Oversee accounts payable
    • Oversee check deposits process
    • Monitor accounts receivable
    • Oversee monthly invoicing and directing admin staff
    • Oversee company credit card reconciliation
    • Oversee expense processing for invoicing and reimbursement
    • Prepare 1099’s
    • Oversee certificates of insurance issuance
    • Corporate insurance renewals (general liability, professional liability, drone liability, cyber liability, etc.)
    • Workers’ compensation audits
    • Ad hoc reporting to management and the LCI Board of Directors
    • Retirement plan liaison
    • Company valuation liaison
    • Maintain shareholder records
    • CPA liaison for annual taxes
    • Overhead audit liaison
    • Complete OSHA forms
    • Handle issues arising from vendors
    • Report to President & CFO weekly
    • Assist with other projects as needed

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor Degree (B.A.); Master’s preferred
    • EXPERIENCE WITH DELTEK/AJERA
    • 5+ years working in an office environment
    • 5+ years of accounting
    • Advanced use of MS Word, Excel, Outlook
    • Good written and verbal communication/interpersonal skills
    • Excellent attention to detail and process-oriented thinking
    • Able to self prioritize and organize
    • Enthusiastic, dependable, and self-reliant
    • A self-starter who is able to work independently and manage multiple tasks
    • Able to work as part of a team
    • Must be flexible in an environment with rapidly changing priorities
    • Must be able to work Monday thru Friday 8 am to 5 pm
    • Ability to work overtime as required and/or on short notice
