We are looking for an Urban Farm Technician that will help us produce high quality seedlings, package them, and ship them to customers across the country. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Job entails standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting frequently. Occasionally will have to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Assist team to ensure high quality seedling production.
• Assist with maintaining plant health, irrigation systems, facilities, environmental controls, pest management, sanitation, etc.
• Fulfill seedling orders - packaging seedlings and preparing packages for shipment
• Hours of work are up to 40 hours a week and will be between 7 am and 5pm Monday through Friday
• In our Los Angeles Location: maintenance and service of urban growing systems for our commercial clients. Specific responsibilities include harvesting crops, planting new seedlings, cleaning the growing devices, and checking on water and nutrient levels.

REQUIREMENTS

• Horticultural or sustainability background preferred but not required
• Excellent oral communication and time management skills.
• Hard working and not afraid to get your hands dirty
• Dependable, punctual, and positive attitude.
• Demonstrated passion for sustainable farming and food.
