Job Summary:

Level II is the second working level in the series. Technicians perform moderate technical tasks related to the analysis of telecommunications technician series. This requires telecommunication-level proficiency in a full range of activities. Job duties require material handling, development plans, inspections, test reports, safety control, specifications, and contract administration. This is a 100% travel position.

Key Responsibilities:

Test fibers and CAT6 cables.

Fiber and Copper terminate, test, and label.

Technicians will install IT and telecom equipment for customers on-premises or at SGT locations.

Lacing power and dressing data cabling.

Technician will run data cables according to Cable Runsheet.

Job Requirements:

Basic knowledge of hand tools.

Ability to follow directions.

Ability to roll out data cabling.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Ability to climb, crawl, and stand for multiple hours.

Ability to work outdoors on ladders, and in confined spaces.

Ability to work in variable temperatures and weather conditions.

Ability to work with/around electrical wires and/or ESD products.
