    Job Description

    THE ROLE

    We are on the search for an Associate Photo Editor to join our in-house Creative Studio. Reporting to the Manager, Photo Production, you will work closely on our existing products and new initiatives. The Creative Studio Creates, Designs and Produces all content that lives on our platform, including Videos, Photography, Infographics, Data Visualizations, Design Graphics and Audio.

    The Associate Photo Editor will be responsible for photo/illustration research and acquisition, Photo Editing and creating editorial content under direction of Photo Editors and Photo Manager.

    The ideal candidate is someone who has an experienced eye for design and photography and a deep understanding of brand aesthetic. This person should also be very familiar with photo usage rights, enjoy digging through archives to find the perfect image.  

    ** THIS IS A FULL-TIME, TEMPORARY ROLE WITH A HYBRID SCHEDULE (ONSITE AND REMOTE) **

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Source, select and edit images to create editorial content that resides on our digital platform.

    • Partner with designers to produce visually appealing and compelling content.

    • Support editorial team in workflow. Daily duties include conducting photo research, uploading photos into Image Management Platform, and collaborating with editorial on workflow and approvals.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 3-5 years experience in photo editing, visual design and/or art direction.

    • Experience w/ a Magazine or Ad Agency and an interest in photography.

    • Strong attention to detail, highly organized, and the ability to multitask. 

    • Excellent people skills and dedication to a collaborative work environment.

    • Familiarity with content management systems and metadata, rights negotiation, imaging software, budget and talent management a plus but not required.

    • Working knowledge of Photoshop.

    • Comfortable working in highly matrixed organizations and creating processes from the ground up.

    Additional Information

    Compensation range: $325 - $375 per day (based on an 8-hour workday, excluding lunch). This represents the expected compensation range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining offer, we will consider location, skills, relevant experience, and other job-related factors.
