Summary:
The Level III/NAS-410 X-Ray Technician is responsible for NDT Level 3 duties, including processes, procedures, techniques, training, qualification, and certification, and will lead quality assurance programs, write and approve radiographic procedures, interpret complex casting flaws, and train lower-level technicians to ensure compliance with aerospace and commercial safety standards.
This position may require access to export-controlled technology or software source code that is subject to export controls restrictions under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”) and will therefore be required to meet eligibility criteria under ITAR and EAR regulations.
Duties:
Competency:
Current NAS 410 NDT Level 3 certification in radiographic film. Non-film techniques.
Knowledge of other NDT methods including Ultrasonics, Penetrant.
Proficiency with metrology software such as PolyWorks, Geomagic, or other relevant platforms.
Strong understanding of engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T principles.
Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook for reporting.
Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is a plus.
Experience with NADCAP and AS9100.
Deep understanding of aluminum metallurgy, casting anomalies, and code standards (such as ASTM, ASME, or AWS) preferred.

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college in a related field (or a high school diploma/ GED with at least 4 years of experience in an engineering or quality position); technical certification in ASNT NDT Level III with UT, and PT qualifications; and 3 to 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing facility.

Schedule:
The core schedule is 7:00 am to 4:00 pm (this can be flexible depending upon production demands).
