Job Description

The Designer works in close support with other engineering personnel in the preparation and carrying out of original or adaptations to designs and design changes, necessitated by inadequate tolerances, general manufacturing problems, and/or customer requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepares simple sketches and completes detail and layout drawings.
• Makes layouts of components, calculates stack-up of detail components, and may prepare minor cost studies consisting of new details and/or marked prints and all supporting documentation.
• Process with engineering changes and release.
• Create bill of material
• Create/assist with product structures

Qualifications

• Associates Degree
• 4 years of experience
• Microsoft Office.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Require proficiency in mechanical or electrical drafting skills.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams
• Experience in working with customers and vendors
• Highly organized and able to work independently on multiple tasks.
• Ability to prioritize assignments and deliver as planned.
• Occasional travel as needed
• Reports directly to the Engineering Manager
