    Job Description

    Resource Management is the practice responsible for the active management of the resource pool for one or more teams, so that it is continuously adjusted and shaped to meet utilization targets and create an effective and efficient resource pool.

    As a Senior Associate, Resource Manager at Razorfish, your primary responsibility is to support the success of our business. You will leverage your exceptional project management and people skills to promptly deliver high-quality staffing solutions. You’ll balance multiple high-priority assignments while developing partnerships across the business to provide the highest level of customer service.

    The Resource Manager collaborates with discipline leads to ensure target utilization of regions, understand current and predict future client resource needs, offers career development opportunities, and to support the Director of Resource management for any matter relating to resource management.

    • Maintain team utilization targets and effectively pool and utilize resources from multiple offices
    • Oversee the direction, fulfillment, and reporting of day-to-day staffing requests with support from Capacity Partners
    • Contribute to reporting for utilization trends and forecasts
    • Initiate staffing requests for both full time and contracting resources
    • Maintain and communicate key information to Capacity Partners about current projects, pipeline and resource forecast and provide daily job status updates to team members
    • Maintain an inventory of core skills and track team members’ skills by proficiency, frequency, and context of use
    • Ensure new hires are equipped to make an impact on their projects by providing project-specific guidance, familiarization, and training

     

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 3+ years of resource management/staffing/workforce planning experience in a consulting environment, specifically in the creative industry
    • 4+ years of industry or Project/Program Manager experience; proven ability to manage complex initiatives to successful completion
    • Ability to promote smooth workflow and communication between industry teams, ensuring workflow progresses efficiently and projects/staff are shifted as needed
    • Experience assisting staff members with career development by coordinating team member development plans, coaching and mentoring with their managers and capability leads
    • Understanding of how skillsets and interests of resources factor into staffing decisions
    • Excellent Excel skills (pivot tables, filtering, and sorting, etc.) and resource management software, including Smartsheet
    • Relationship management and influencing skills
    • Sees connections and trends where others do not; looks beyond the obvious
    • Ability to take complex issues or situations and present them in a simple and easy to follow manner
    • Excellent communication skills — written and verbal/presentation
    • Outstanding organizational awareness and change management skills
    • Knowledge of process improvement and facilitation
    • Detail-oriented working style with a strong business focus
