    The Opportunity: Infrastructure Finance Americas is a part of the global Real Estate, Infrastructure and Construction group. The team’s primary focus is providing and arranging debt financing (project and corporate level) for companies in the transportation (airports, roads, ports, transit), water, and social facilities sector; with strong focus on mid-market M&A and greenfield project finance covering North and South America, and based in New York

    As an integral member of this team, you support the team in conducting credit analysis of both existing clients and new wholesale banking opportunities while helping in the preparation of pitches and assisting with Know Your Customer administration. You assist in financial modeling, negotiation, sourcing, and managing of investments in the Infrastructure sector. 

    Main Duties and Responsibilities of Role: How will you contribute? Entry/junior level position

    • You prepare project finance spreadsheet models (incorporating price, operating, cash flow, and debt service modules) or work with existing models, comp sheets, rating models, loan pricing models, and collateral documents
    • Prepare written and verbal credit analysis including financial modeling, assessment of management, collateral valuations, business trends and competitive positioning.
    • You perform customer due diligence and maintain market intelligence databases
    • Assist in preparing quarterly credit reviews, process loan modification / amendment requests, track covenant compliance and maintain internal portfolio tracking metrics
    • You review and organize legal documentation for completion and thoroughness
    • You oversee maintenance of credit files and loan documentation
    • You review and assess disbursement requests
    • You collaborate with Risk Management and Loan Operations.
    • You prepare periodic pipeline and profitability reports.

    Profile QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION:

    A Bachelor’s (or Master's Degree) in Finance, Engineering, Accounting, Business, Economics, Mathematics or closely related field with emphasis on quantitative skills

    Experience / Knowledge:

    • You are a graduate or have one to two years of experience in either project finance and/or corporate finance, or infrastructure-related field within a top-tier institution – existing credit training a strong plus. Strong interest in pursuing a career in infrastructure finance with emphasis on transportation and civil projects. Given this, candidates that are working in other related fields such as engineering would be given strong consideration
    • Knowledge of industry and company dynamics in the Infrastructure project finance sector a plus
    • Proven understanding of Corporate and Investment Banking markets
    • You have an understanding of financial modeling and a basic grounding in in Accounting and Finance disciplines, including cash flow lending
    • You have a superior credit analysis background and strong related verbal and written communication skills
    • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint): outstanding excel skills and be able to operate financial models very soon after starting.
    • Fundamental understanding of core financial documents (Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement and Balance Sheet).
