Looking for an Associate 1, Associate 2 or Associate 3 with 3–5 years of experience in Leveraged Finance with an Investment Bank, Commercial Bank, or a Private Credit Firm.

The Leveraged Finance team at a Major Investment Bank in New York City focuses on delivering a full range of financing solutions to financial sponsors and corporate clients, including leveraged loans, high yield bonds, bridge financings, and private debt transactions. The Associate will support deal execution across a wide range of industries, working closely with senior bankers and clients on complex financing transactions.

The team operates within a broader integrated investment banking platform, collaborating across Capital Markets, M&A, and industry coverage teams to provide comprehensive financial solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Transaction Execution & Analysis

• Conduct industry and company research across various sectors
• Build detailed financial models to analyze company performance and transaction scenarios
• Support the execution of leveraged finance transactions for sponsors and corporate clients

Client Materials & Documentation

• Prepare pitchbooks, presentations, and marketing materials
• Draft offering memorandums for public and private financings
• Review legal documentation including credit agreements and commitment papers

Team Collaboration & Deal Support

• Work closely with internal teams to execute financing transactions
• Participate in client meetings and internal discussions
• Contribute to deal structuring, underwriting, and execution processes

Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in Leveraged Finance with an Investment Bank, Commercial Bank, or a Private Credit Firm.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business or Accounting

Skills

• Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities
• Solid understanding of credit analysis and leveraged finance concepts
