Art Van Furniture has immediate openings for a General Warehouse Associates.  This is an entry level opportunity for the career minded individual looking to be a part of company.  We offer competitive wages starting from $10-$13/hour based on experience with industry leading benefit programs.

SHIFTS AVAILABLE FOR BOTH DAY AND AFTERNOON OPPORTUNITIES

Essential Functions of the Job include but not limited to:

• Working in a Fast paced environment, with ability manage multiple tasks.
• Assist in loading and un-loading of trucks with the ability to lift and move merchandise up to 50-75lbs on a frequent basis.
• Assembly of Furniture as needed.
• Assist in Delivery and Customer Pick-up to make the customer experience “Easy an Delightful.”
• Routine Maintenance and daily clean-up of work area.
• Apply and support the values of our company in everything we do.
• Pulling and staging merchandise for customer delivery.
• Ability and willing to work overtime, nights and weekends as needed.

• Basic reading, comprehension and numerical reasoning skills.
• Detail oriented-must be able to complete paperwork in an accurate, neat and efficient manner.
• Demonstrated knowledge of software, and prior experience using windows-based computer programs
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Prior customer service experience is preferred, but not required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, and reach regularly.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to use vision to read documents and computer screen.
• Ability to use hands to type information into computer.
