  • Responsibilities

    Position Summary:

    Manages the development and implementation process of a company's services involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing projects. Typically handles less complex, multidiscipline projects. Plans and directs schedules and monitors budget/spending. Monitors the project from initiation through delivery. Organizes the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of projects on schedule and within budget constraints. Coordinate/facilitate the project from initiation through delivery. Organizes the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project within scope, on schedule and on budget. Performs project management activities including managing project budgets, creating and maintaining project schedules, managing project scopes, managing project risks, monitoring and tracking projects, and reporting project status. Ensures project safety, compliance with the AFE policy, and effective communications and coordination with customers, key stakeholders, and management..

    Primary Duties:

    • Responsible for oversight of design, construction, and commissioning of less complex projects.
    • Projects typically involve more than one discipline (e.g.
    • Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Structural).
    • Responsible for project plans, execution, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
    • Acquires resources, assigns individual responsibilities and coordinates efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan.
    • The role will also define the projects objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
    • Evaluates facility space planning and provides project proposals and recommendations.
    • Builds and leads execution of project plan for multiple projects including scope and plan summary.
    • Coordinate the activities of the project team and provide qualitative and quantitative project updates.
    • Communicates with management, business unit manager(s), and/or consultants regarding project development, design, construction and status.
    • Ensures compliance with AFE policy.
    • Responsible for funding, financial analysis, and reporting status on each project.
    • Develops timetables and priorities for execution of all design and construction activities of the project.
    • Directs and coordinates various OG&E and contractor activities to complete projects on time and within budget.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelors Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction related fields combined with six (6) years directly related Project Management experience; or Associates Degree in Construction or Project Management field combined with eight (8) years directly related Project Management experience.
    • Valid Drivers license.

    Working Conditions:

    • Some travel required.
    • May be required to work non-standard work schedules which includes periodic availability for emergency duty.

    SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • Previous housekeeping and/or janitorial work experience highly preferred. 
    • Must have flexibility/availability to work retail hours/scheduling: includes evenings, weekends, holidays and/or special events.
    • Must have the ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, push, pull and lift approximately up to 25 lbs. repetitively.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent listening skills.
    • Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work independently.  
    • Basic reading and comprehension skills. 
    • Basic numerical reasoning skills.
    • Education:  High school diploma or equivalent, and/or a combination of education and experience.
