    POSITION:                                 Design Team Support Associate – Full Time

    DEPARTMENT:                          Merchandising

    REPORTS TO:                           Visual Communications Manager/Coordinator

    FLSA STATUS:                        Non-Exempt

     

    Purpose:

    Performs the unloading, loading, staging and placement of merchandise in compliance with

    product handling standards in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner in accordance with design team directives. 

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    *Performs the unloading, loading, wrapping, unwrapping, moving, lifting, staging of merchandise.

    *Assists Design team with the receipt and placement of product as needed to replenish visual displays.

    *Practices safe and secure material handling methods and distributes merchandise properly in accordance with product handling standards.

    *Practices safe and secure loading methods to avoid damages.

    *Responsible for generating IST’s on outgoing and incoming merchandise and COL’s on product moves.

    *Reports errors found on documents to supervisor.

    *Completes all documentation neatly and accurately.

    *Maintains a safe and clean work environment.

    *Operates manual and mechanical equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

    *Furniture assembly and repair

    *Store maintenance

    *Other duties as assigned.

    Required Skills

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • ·         High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • ·         Previous stock handling experience preferred.

     

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • ·         Excellent verbal and written communication, and listening skills.
    • ·         Basic reading and comprehension skills. 
    • ·         Basic numerical reasoning skills.
    • ·         Ability to complete paperwork in an accurate, neat and efficient manner.
    • ·         Proficient with basic computer skills.  GERS or equivalent experience preferred but not necessary.
    • ·         Ability to meet requirements of Vehicle Safety Policy.

     

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • ·         Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, push, pull and lift cartons weighing 100+ lbs. repetitively.

     

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    Store/Warehouse environment.

     

    WORK SCHEDULE:

    Schedule will follow Visual Designers schedule and may vary dependent upon business needs.  Daily travel to stores from base location determined by associate with personal vehicle.
