    ABOUT THE ROLE

     

    Latham & Watkins’ London office is seeking a talented professional to join the Business Development Department as a Business Development Senior Analyst supporting the Client Engagement team. This position will play a key role supporting the firm's global client teams and will work closely with the client team relationship managers. The Client Engagement team supports a range of client teams, from Investment Banks to Corporates, on strategic goals as well day-to-day needs. They also develop account management best practices that are shared across the BD department. The successful candidate will:

     

    Build strong relationships with the client team relationship partners and BD client team relationship managers to establish a role as a trusted advisor.

    Support Client Engagement Senior Manager, Investment Bank Relationship Manager, and Senior Analyst on strategic goals and day-to-day activity across investment bank and corporate teams, including:

    • Maintaining account management plans and onboarding materials
    • Collaborating with Practice, Industry, and Markets leads to drive forward firm cross-selling initiatives
    • Developing internal presentations and external relationship materials
    • Liaising with the New Business Team on RFP and pitch responses
    • Coordinating client training requests
    • Preparing associates for secondment opportunities and capturing client intelligence
    • Analyzing financial reports and trend analyses
    • Attending clients’ earnings calls and internal team calls
    • Working with BD assistants to update CRM

    Support new client teams during launch, as needed through their lifecycle, and on year-end relationship documents

    Support existing client teams with creating customized tools and enablers to advance client objectives and team goals

    Onboard new client teams and provide guidance and support for practical application of account management tools.

    Identify opportunities for efficiencies and enhance processes within the account management framework.

    Work closely with the firm's business support teams, including Accounting & Finance, DEI, Brand & Communications, and Attorney Development.

    Develop and maintain a robust account management toolkit deployed across client teams, in addition to custom toolkits for clients aligned to strategic firm initiatives.

    Facilitate the sharing of best practices across the BD department.

     

    ABOUT YOU

     

    As a Business Development Senior Analyst you will have:

     

    • well-developed and professional interpersonal skills;
    • the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels; and
    • superb project management skills.

     

    You will also have:

     

    • a high level of attention to detail and excellent writing skills;
    • previous experience in BD/Marketing, preferably in a law firm or professional services firm, with Corporate and/or Investment Bank experience a plus.

    Required Skills Required Experience

  • Qualifications
    • Understanding of complex stormwater and drainage concepts
    • MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D drafting experience.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills for preparation of project reports
    • Ability to build client relationships
    • Candidates must be capable of working on multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment

     

    PREFERRED SKILLS

    • Experience with Microstation SUDA and SWMM Modeling
    • Rosgen Training and Stream Restoration Design Experience
    • AutoCAD Civil 3D experience
    • 8+ years of experience in drainage engineering
    • 2+ years of working with and training junior staff.
