Job Description
Levy Phillips APC, located in Woodland Hills, CA, exclusively practices labor and employment law. We represent private and public sector labor organizations, employee benefit funds, and select individual employees.
We are seeking an associate with 3-5 years’ solid experience in federal and state litigation, including knowledge of state and federal rules, to join our firm. Experience in arbitration, administrative hearings, and negotiations, is required. We also have an active and expanding employee benefits practice.
The right candidate’s work may require some knowledge of ERISA in order to assist benefit plan personnel, trustees and unions with the full range of issues faced by all types of employee benefit plans, including drafting and review of plan documents, service provider contracts and participant communications.
The atmosphere is collaborative, informal, and working remotely is an option. The right candidate will display high quality communication, research, advocacy, and written skills, dedication to the labor movement and to general principles of social justice. California bar admission is required.
Our professional and clerical staff is unionized and covered by a collective bargaining agreement. We provide excellent compensation, a fully paid union benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, prescription drug, and pension.
