ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDER – The Hematology/Oncology Section at Boston University School of Medicine/Boston Medical Center is seeking an NP or PA to support its rapidly expanding program. We anticipate that the position will support the Stem Cell Transplant Program and in addition support a new Program for Red Blood Cell disorders. The Stem Cell Transplant Program performs autologous peripheral blood stem cell transplants for a range of hematologic disorders, including amyloidosis, a condition for which Boston Medical Center is an international referral center. The Program for Red Blood Cell disorders is a newly created program focusing on treatment of a range of anemias and hemoglobinopathies. Boston Medical Center is a 514-bed hospital that serves a diverse patient population from throughout New England and beyond, and is the major teaching hospital for Boston University. Advanced practice providers work closely with physicians in a team-based approach, to provide comprehensive and compassionate care to a shared panel of patients.  In addition to providing clinical care, advanced practice practitioners have opportunities to participate in teaching conferences and relevant tumor boards. Teaching and mentoring opportunities for NP and PA students from area programs, including the PA program at Boston University, are also available.
