  • Responsibilities

     

    SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

     

    Under direct supervision is responsible for performing a variety of tests and testing procedures on equipment, incoming raw materials, finished products, and products in process. Documents results and reports according to established procedures.

     

    • Assures consistent quality of production by developing and enforcing good manufacturing practices (GMPs); ensures that GMPs are being maintained throughout the facility at all times
    • Responsible for pre-operational inspection of the facility before production startup; inspects production equipment for rust, condensation and cleanliness; interprets and documents results
    • Obtains, prepares and conducts sample analysis using a variety of lab testing equipment
    • Swabs assigned area(s) on the production floor grid
    • Conducts a variety of audits including, but not limited to, temperatures on outbound product, product packaging counts, pest activity, plant conditions, and GMPs
    • Interprets and records results of all tests performed; documents results in accordance with established processes and procedures
    • Tests processing batches, finished goods, and incoming raw materials to ensure proper specification
    • Produces a variety of reports detailing and summarizing test results
    • Maintains a clean and sanitary testing environment
    • Performs other duties as assigned by Quality Managers and Supervisors

     

     

     

     

     

     

    Required Skills

     

    CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

     

    • 0-6 months experience in food production/quality assurance environment
    • Able to accurately perform basic math computations
    • Able to enter data into reporting system
    • Very good at performing accurate checks and maintaining accurate records
    • Able to follow instructions
    • Approachable and team oriented, creates a positive work environment
