Perform a variety of general mechanical and/or electrical assembly operations on HVAC units for use in the rail car industry, while adhering to quality requirements and best practices as provided through drawings and manufacturing work instructions.

Perform cost effective mechanical assembly of Knorr products in a timely manner. Assembly processes include installation of sub-assemblies and other components in an assembly line area, installing gaskets and sealants, running wiring and fixing components and hardware installation

Adhere to manufacturing approved processes and standards for all work performed.

Participate in all required training courses and practice learned methods in everyday work. Examples are KPS, 5S, torque training, crimp training, etc.

Adhere to all safety requirements (including wearing the required protective equipment) and perform all work in a safe manner while on the shop floor.

Required Experience

• High School Diploma
• 1 year technical degree or certificate in a technical field is desired, or 3 years related experience and/or training
• 5 years manufacturing experience in a mechanical field
• Ability to use a wide range of hand and power tool including complex test rigs and fixtures
• Computer skills preferred
• Ability to work well with others
