    Summer Camp Counselor (seasonal, part-time) at Mercy HealthPlex - West Clermont

    Schedule: Varying shifts Monday - Friday 7:45am - 6:15pm, working between 10-29 hours per week

    Summer is almost here! Are you looking for a fun and flexible part-time job this summer?

    HealthFitness is looking for Summer Camp Counselors to join our summer program located in Batavia, OH just outside Cincinnati! As a Camp Counselor, you will be responsible for the overall planning, supervision, and evaluation of various camp programs under the direction of the Program Manager. Experience supervising and mentoring staff and camp participants, successful communication skills with camp participants, parents, and other co-workers; ability to plan, implement and evaluate full camp curriculum for each week. Fun program with up to 60 kids per day! This is a summer position from May 1st through August 11th.

    What you'll be doing:

    • Leading activities such as crafts and art, demonstrating various techniques and encouraging children to come up with ideas.
    • Engaging with children to support each child’s social and emotional development.
    • Being a great team player and able to work well with other faculty!
    • Organizing team games such as soccer, kickball and basketball explaining the rules.
    • Performs related duties and responsibilities as required.
    • Interacting with parents.

    What you will bring:

    • Must be 16 years of age or older.
    • Child/Infant CPR/AED/first aid certification from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required within 30 days of hire.
    • Knowledge and experience with young children is strongly preferred.
    • Experience in customer service preferred.
    • Ability to multi-task as well as work quickly and accurately.
    • Computer proficiency including at minimum Microsoft Word and Outlook.
    • Will be required to follow any current or future site COVID-19 vaccination policies including but not limited to proof of vaccination, weekly testing, etc.

  • Qualifications
    • 4-year college degree preferred
    • 3+ years of work experience
    • Outstanding customer service mentality
    • Strong technical knowledge of entertainment equipment and systems, as well as broadcast platforms (e.g., ON24, INXPO, WebEx, Zoom, GoToMeeting, vMix, BlueJeans, etc.)
    • Outstanding organization skills with the ability to lead multiple concurrent projects
    • Work independently while also being team oriented
    • Experience running technical aspects of virtual events across the corporate sector, from large-scale conferences to intimate networking and breakout sessions
    • Experience leading teams of staff/crewing including but not limited to video, projection, staging, rigging, AV teams Strong project management skills
    • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills. Able to think critically and on your feet and lead multiple projects at the same time!
    • Flexible, dependable, detail orientated, innovative, motivated and enthusiastic about delivering exceptional events 
    • Knowledge of graphics programs (e.g., Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects) and productivity software (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel)

     

    Physical Requirements:

    • Given the various times of live broadcasts, working early mornings and late nights will be required
    • Ability to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds
    • Be able to climb ladders up to 20 feet tall and work in small spaces and on uneven surfaces
    • Frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

     

    SHIFT HOURS (20 PER WEEK):

    Wednesday & Thursday, 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM & 7:00 PM - 11:00 PM.

    Additional hours per week as assigned between 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
