    HealthFitness has a new opportunity for a HEALTH PROMOTION MANAGER at our client site in Abbott Park, IL near Buckley and US94 (hybrid work schedule 3 days in office and 2 days WFH). In this position, you will be responsible for the development, planning, implementation, delivery and evaluation of outcomes based programs and interventions for large client health promotion programs; driving participation, engagement, outcomes, and customer satisfaction in the delivery of programs and services. This position is responsible for contract compliance, development and adherence to the strategic business plan, including program plan, marketing plan, communication plan and outcomes reporting. This individual coordinates program planning and delivery through the entire organization in collaboration with corporate and site stakeholders; ensures full integration throughout all lines of client business.  

     

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    •  Submits employment forms, payroll records and billing worksheets accurately and according to contract provisions and HealthFitness policies.
    • Ensures contract compliance. Manages client relationship, in partnership with peers, to ensure that high customer satisfaction is maintained and HealthFitness value is reinforced.
    • Develops and implements, in partnership with peers, the yearly strategic business plan to identify contract deliverables, program/ service offerings and initiatives, targeted outcomes and marketing strategy to meet client objectives.
    • Prepares and manages operating budget. Ensures expenditures are made in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
    • Manages the development of outcomes focused programs to meet client objectives; interfaces with client company management and peripheral departments as appropriate to assess client needs and identify HealthFitness programming solutions.
    • Tracks participant and program data for measurement of individual and program goal achievement, outcomes and results; creates outcomes focused management reports based on the identified business plan goals and objectives.
    • Coordinates planning and delivery of the Client program throughout the entire organization in collaboration with corporate and site stakeholders; ensures full integration of program throughout all lines of Client business (e.g. Health and Safety, Benefits).
    • Manages a Champion Network as directed by strategic objectives of the client, develop, recruit, train, engage and communicate.
    • Designs and develops outcomes focused programs and interventions including data collection and evaluation process; delivers personalized services and other programs to participants as applicable.
    • Coordinates marketing and communications to maximize program engagement, bringing in HealthFitness Corporate support as appropriate.
    • Assesses effectiveness of current health education interventions and enhance delivery methods to reach all segments of the population with greater impact on outcome results.
    • Maintains accurate records and ensures confidentiality of data collected during health assessment and health promotion/membership activities in accordance with HealthFitness requirements, including if applicable file transfer, processes, collaborating with related suppliers and/or storage.
    • Project manager for select U.S. well-being programs.
    • Primary conduit between internal teams/partners for coordination and management of onsite events and services.
    • Create well-being promotions in partnership with internal communications.
    • Support client's execution of company wide 3 year strategic plan and programming.
    • Catalyst for creative components of engagement strategies and onsite/virtual programming.
    • Other duties as needed/assigned.

     

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS:

     

    REQUIRED:

    • Minimum 3 years related industry experience, including program management in a health plan, health improvement or related environment.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in a health and fitness related field.
    • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time and adhere to timelines.
    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and work well independently and collaboratively, while effectively organizing and prioritizing work demands.
    • Experience in creating promotional communications (brochures, flyers, presentations, etc.) for large distribution.
    • Strong leadership, team management, interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills including the ability to motivate others.
    • Knowledge of current trends in employee well-being.
    • Computer proficiency in MS Office including at minimum Word, Excel and Outlook.
    • Demonstrated experience in the areas of program development and implementation, data collection and analysis and outcomes reporting.
    • Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test. 
    • Will be required to follow any current or future site COVID-19 vaccination policies including but not limited to proof of vaccination, weekly testing, masking etc.

     

    PREFERRED:

    • CHES or Coaching Certifications.
    • Current Adult CPR/AED and First Aid certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute.
    • Experience in well-being and culture at U.S. level and globally a plus.
    • Nutrition education/experience preferred.
