Job Description

• Grape sampling and maturity analysis
• Fruit receival and processing
• Fermentation management including daily monitoring, pump overs, inoculations and additions, and pressing
• Lab analysis of musts, juices, and wines
• Cellar operations including barrel filling, racking, topping, and other wine movements
• Plenty of cleaning and sanitation

Qualifications

• Previous harvest experience is a plus
• Solid communication skills and attention to detail
• Strong work ethic, critical thinking skills, and a positive team-building attitude
• Ability to work entire harvest period from late August through November
• Ability to perform physical labor for extended hours, 6 days per week during peak harvest
• Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders and stairs, perform repetitive motions, and work in variable temperatures and weather conditions
• Ability to work legally in the United States

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Work is in an industrial setting with forklift traffic and public tour groups. Employees are also exposed to weather conditions. Pay Range: $19.00 - $25.00 an hour (plus potential overtime pay). Final compensation will be dependent on skills and experience.
