Overview of the Position:

We are seeking a hardworking and dependable career minded self-starter to join our 75+ year family business and our incredible team of long term employees

***Fabric handling and Vacumming

- Carry large bolts of fabrics and heavy furniture

- Assisting clients with fabric purchases

- Assisting management with fabric merchandising and furniture moving

- Pulling heavy fabric down off the rack for cutting, wrapping and shipping

- Must have a current drivers license

- Must be able to drive a pick up truck

- Must be agile and fast moving

- Moving freight between warehouses

- Daily cleaning (sweeping, vacuuming, windows, restrooms, doors)

- Lots of vacuuming. Must enjoy Vacuuming

- Memo processing

- Greet customers and show them the utmost respect

- Customer service: help cut fabrics, carry products to the car, etc

- Retail customer interaction and communications

- Establish strong relationships with customers that we have cultivated over decades

- Whatever else needs to be done!

- The physical demands listed are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the job: Required to stand, walk, talk or hear, use hands and have ability to reach overhead. Regular lifting or moving of up to 50lbs, possibly up to 75lbs. Requires bending, stooping, and ability to climb stairs. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus and ability to write, count, and read required shipping/ company paperwork

Qualifications

- High school diploma required

- Strength and ability to lift items over 50 pounds on a regular basis.

- Must enjoy staying busy

- Must be agile and fast moving

- Must enjoying cleaning and keeping things organized

- Dependable work schedule onsite Tuesday- Saturday 9-5:30

- Professional demeanor and personal presentation highly coveted with excellent hygiene

IE: Look good, smell good, and dress professionally at all times!

- Patience to repeat or redo projects
