THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
UC Law SF seeks a Fellow to support LexLab, a community hub for legal technology and innovation situated in the law school. The Fellow's responsibilities will consist of the following duties: research, writing, speaking, event planning and hosting, project management, external and internal communication management (including podcasts and social media channels), and relationship building among the legal, tech, academic, and finance communities. This is a 1-yr contract position with the opportunity to renew based on funding and performance.
The research and writing will relate to artificial intelligence, legal technology, access to justice, regulatory reform, and public policy. The Fellow will act as an ambassador for the program within the UC Law SF community and the broader tech, academic and policy communities in California. This will include communicating with law firms, startups, incubators, public policy groups and investors.
The Fellow will report to the Director of LexLab and the Director of Applied Innovation at UC Law SF.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years of professional experience, including research and writing, project management, communications, podcasting and developing a social media presence. Candidates with a strong academic background and proven interest in law, technology, or access to justice will also be considered.
