Position Overview We’re seeking a motivated and dedicated counselor who is passionate about helping individuals recover and grow — and who also wants to be part of expanding and shaping our addiction services. In this role, you will: • Conduct client assessments and provide appropriate treatment recommendations within the scope of licensure. • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based approaches tailored to each client’s unique needs. • Collaborate with CBPRS and Case Management teams, offering clinical insights related to substance use and recovery support. • Train and facilitate Prime For Life classes for clients as part of our prevention and education initiatives. • Help develop and lead our new Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) , contributing to program structure, implementation, and growth. • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with agency and state standards. Apply today to join Winds of Change and help shape the future of recovery services in our community Responsibilities: • Take personal responsibility for actions, consistently keep commitments, and seek or offer assistance when necessary • If receiving clinical supervision from an external supervisor, attend weekly on-site supervision sessions to ensure consistent development and alignment with agency standards • Apply for and obtain acceptance as an Addiction Counseling Licensure Credential (ACLC) candidate through the Board of Behavioral Health, maintaining a current and active ACLC credential • Maintain a professional appearance and hygiene that aligns with the organization’s workplace culture • Ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations and uphold a high standard of confidentiality and discretion in all client interactions • Prime For Life certification • Be proactive in identifying and addressing client needs, anticipating challenges, and offering appropriate solutions • Exhibit sound, accurate judgment in clinical decision-making and client care • Demonstrate a passion for addiction counseling with a positive attitude and commitment to making a meaningful impact in the lives of clients • This role requires a strong sense of responsibility, professionalism, and dedication to supporting clients through their recovery journey Qualifications: • A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is required, along with coursework necessary to obtain candidacy for the LAC credential • A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Case Manager or in a similar role working with individuals who have Serious Mental Illness (SDMI) and/or substance use disorders (SUD) is required Compensation: $25 hourly or more DOE
