Licensed Architect – Historic Preservation & Adaptive Reuse Focus We are seeking a talented Licensed Architect with a passion for historic renovations and adaptive reuse to join our collaborative, forward-thinking team. As a key member of our design studio, you’ll lead and contribute to projects that range from building restorations to the innovative reuse of existing structures. You will work closely with clients, consultants, and oversight authorities to ensure that each project meets high standards of design integrity, technical excellence, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities: • Develop and lead design for historic preservation and adaptive reuse projects. • Conduct architectural assessments, including research and site facility evaluations. • Prepare documentation for historic local review boards, plan reviewers, preservation programs, and various review entities. • Coordinate with consultants, engineers, contractors, and preservation agencies. • Manage construction documents and oversee construction administration as required on a project-by-project basis. Qualifications: • Professional degree in Architecture (Required). • Architectural licensure (Required). • 5+ years of relevant experience, with a strong background in historic preservation and adaptive reuse renovations. • Familiarity with historic materials, conservation techniques, and regulatory processes. • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Strong project management and client communication skills. • A passion for architecture and a sensitivity to place, context, and community.
