WonderLab is a innovative pediatric nonprofit clinic in Redlands dedicated to supporting children and families through compassionate, inclusive, and high-quality services. We believe that strong administrative and operational systems are essential to delivering excellent care and expanding access for the families we serve. We aim to enhance belonging for the families we serve through a wrap around program that addresses not only the physical impairments of a child, but also by supporting the affirming care of the neurodivergent child and the unique mental health needs of the family as it relates to the child.
Position Overview
This is a founding role in WonderLab's new behavioral health service line a rare and exciting opportunity for a passionate, experienced clinician to help build something meaningful from the ground up. The Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist will provide direct clinical services to children and families while also playing a central role in building the infrastructure, workflows, and program design of WonderLab's mental health program. As the program grows, so does this role. WonderLab is committed to developing this clinician into a clinical leader with real potential to grow into a supervisory or program leadership position as the behavioral health team expands. If you're a skilled therapist who also has the vision and drive to help shape a program, this is your seat at the table.
This position begins as a part-time W2 employee (5–10 hours/week) during the credentialing period, with a focus on clinical infrastructure development (intake forms, policies, workflows, and program design). Upon completion of credentialing, the role transitions to full-time clinical practice. Compensation for the full-time role ranges from $80,000–$110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and licensure.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Clinical Services:
Provide evidence-based individual, family, and group therapy to children and their caregivers.
Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA and Medi-Cal requirements
Collaborate with WonderLab's interdisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, community health workers (CHWs), and support staff
Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and clinical supervision as applicable
Support families in navigating mental health systems, parenting children with special needs, community resources, and care coordination (in collaboration with CHWs)
Program Development & Infrastructure (during credentialing period and ongoing):
Collaborate with leadership to design and implement intake processes, clinical workflows, and program policies
Assist in developing culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and neurodivergent affirming clinical protocols
Contribute to program evaluation efforts including outcome tracking and data collection
Help shape the vision and structure of WonderLab's growing behavioral health service line
Identify opportunities to expand access and improve care delivery for underserved families
Growth and Leadership Opportunity
This is WonderLab's first behavioral health hire. That means the right person will have an extraordinary opportunity not just to do good clinical work, but to shape what this program becomes. As WonderLab's behavioral health services grow, we are committed to investing in this clinician's leadership development. There is real potential for this role to evolve into a Clinical Lead, Program Supervisor, or Behavioral Health Program Director position. If you're someone who sees yourself as both a clinician and a builder, we want to meet you.
