Duties

• Conduct individual therapy sessions with clients to address their specific mental health needs
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to assist clients in managing their symptoms and improving their overall well-being
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans for clients
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine the appropriate course of treatment for each client
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation
• Stay current on the latest research and developments in the field of therapy

Skills

• Strong research skills to stay informed about the latest developments in therapy techniques and approaches
• Proficiency in documentation to accurately record client information and progress
• Knowledge of gender issues counseling and sensitivity to diverse populations
• Expertise in behavioral therapy techniques to address a wide range of mental health conditions
• Understanding of behavioral health principles and practices
• Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities, providing appropriate support and interventions
• Proficient in crisis intervention strategies to effectively manage high-stress situations
• Excellent patient care skills, including active listening, empathy, and effective communication
