Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW/LPC)
Position Overview
CLFC Healthcare & Communications is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to provide outpatient substance abuse treatment services at a federal agency in Washington, DC. This position involves delivering evidence-based clinical services to adults in a community supervision setting, supporting individuals through structured treatment programming that addresses substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and relapse prevention techniques
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions for clients with substance use disorders
- Manage caseload of clients at varying stages of treatment and recovery
- Coordinate care with referring agencies, probation officers, and community resources
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in electronic treatment file systems
- Conduct substance abuse screenings, risk assessments, and crisis interventions as needed
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans based on clinical outcomes
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing substance abuse treatment
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted LCSW or LPC license in the District of Columbia
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field from an accredited institution
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in substance abuse treatment
- Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities (CBT, MI, DBT)
- Experience with dual-diagnosis treatment (co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders)
- Strong clinical documentation and assessment skills
- Ability to pass a federal background investigation
- Current CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of start
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC) or equivalent substance abuse certification
- Experience working with court-referred or justice-involved populations
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems used in federal settings
- Experience with ASAM Level 1.5 outpatient treatment programming
- Bilingual capabilities (Spanish/English preferred)
