LICENSED CUSTOMS BROKER – TCRS4565

HIGH LEVEL OVERVIEW

The Licensed Customs Broker oversees import operations, ensuring compliance with U.S. import and export rules and regulations. This role leads brokerage activities, supports documentation, resolves issues, and promotes operational excellence across the team.

This is a REMOTE position, supporting an east coast office.

EXPECTATIONS

• Provide guidance to customers on various compliance requirements; HTS, tariffs, documentation, etc.
• Prepare and process compliant import & export documents
• Collaborate with internal teams to gain new customers and sell services to existing customers
• Communicate with CBP and PGAs to resolve issues in a timely manner
• Keep internal and external partners/customers/brokers informed of shipment status
• Create and maintain procedures and processes, conduct training as needed
• Process billing invoices for services
• Stay up to date on regulations, guidelines, and company requirements
• Work well in high pressure situations and adjust to changing environments

ESSENTIALS

• 3+ years of experience in trade compliance and brokerage
• Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) required
• High school diploma/GED required
• Knowledge of import entry process with CBP and other government agencies
• Solid understanding with HTS Classification, Country of Origin, FTA, Valuation methods, and AD/CVD
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Supervisory or people leadership experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work Monday through Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM EST
