Responsibilities: • Meet patients and explain dental care treatment plans so they feel comfortable during an appointment • Provide postoperative instructions with methods for infection control of the patients’ teeth and gums after procedures, answer any questions they may have about dental hygiene, and schedule appointments for patient care follow up • Evaluate and document vital signs and medical history for patient records, take x-rays of patients’ mouths, and apply a topical anesthetic for dental procedures, if needed • Prepare and layout sterilized equipment, dental instruments, anesthetics, dental supplies, and materials inside treatment rooms for examinations and dental procedures • Assure all dental office infection control policies and safety regulations are met by disinfecting and sterilizing all equipment and instruments after use Qualifications: • Current Licensed Dental Assistant (LDA) certification in Minnesota (or eligible soon) • Graduation from an accredited dental assisting program (CODA) • Current BLS/CPR certification • Experience using dental software and digital radiography • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills • A warm, team-first attitude and a commitment to patient comfort and care Compensation: $21 - $33 hourly
