Licensed Industrial Electrician (Iowa)
We are seeking a Licensed Journeyman Electrician for an immediate 6-month industrial project in Carroll, Iowa. This role focuses on essential infrastructure within a modern food processing facility, specifically in clean, utility-focused areas entirely separate from the production floor—there are no live animals or harvesting on-site.
Project Details:
- Duration: 6 Month project with potential to roll into full time, direct hire role.
- Pay: $40-50/hr + $125/day Per Diem, benefits after day 30, responsible for own transportation to and from site.
- Schedule: 50-hour weeks ( M-F, some weekends as project nears completion)
Responsibilities:
- MCC Work: Install, terminate, and maintain Motor Control Centers, including setting buckets and starters.
- Cable Trays: Install and run various ladder, wire mesh, and solid-bottom cable tray systems and associated supports.
- Conduit & Equipment: Perform demo and installation of electrical equipment, rigid conduit runs, and control systems.
- Safety & Code: Ensure all work adheres strictly to NFPA 70E (Arc Flash) standards and the latest National Electrical Code (NEC).
Requirements:
- Licensing: Must hold a valid Iowa Electrical License (Journeyman Class A preferred).
- Experience: Proven experience in heavy industrial or commercial environments.
- Skills: Strong ability to read blueprints, P&IDs, troubleshoot 480V systems, and perform precision terminations.
