About the Role:
Meadows Funeral Home Inc. is seeking a compassionate and professional Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer to join our dedicated team in Monroe, GA. Responsibilities:
Perform embalming, restorative art, and preparation of the deceased in accordance with state regulations
Meet with bereaved families to plan and arrange funeral services tailored to their needs and wishes
Coordinate all aspects of funeral and graveside services, including logistics and vendor communication
Prepare and file required legal documents, including death certificates and burial permits
Transport deceased individuals with care and professionalism
Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and compliance of the preparation room and facilities
Provide compassionate grief support and aftercare resources to families
Requirements:
Valid Georgia Funeral Director and Embalmer license (or ability to obtain reciprocity)
Associate's degree or higher in Mortuary Science from an accredited program
Prior experience in funeral service, embalming, and family arrangement conferences preferred
Strong knowledge of Georgia funeral service laws and regulations
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate demeanor
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays and on-call shifts
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
