About the Role
The Licensed Insurance Agent will serve as a trusted advisor for both personal and commercial clients across New Jersey. This position is ideal for an experienced, bilingual (English/Spanish) professional with a strong understanding of state insurance laws and a passion for helping clients protect their assets.
You’ll manage and grow your own book of business while ensuring every client interaction reflects professionalism, accuracy, and care.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients on personal and commercial insurance coverage based on individual needs and risk profiles.
- Quote, bind, and service policies in accordance with New Jersey regulations and carrier guidelines.
- Generate new business through referrals, networking, and local market relationships.
- Manage renewals, policy changes, endorsements, and client documentation with accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide expert support to Spanish-speaking clients throughout the sales and service process.
- Maintain strong communication with carriers to ensure timely and effective policy servicing.
- Stay current on state regulations, carrier offerings, and industry trends.
Qualifications
- Active New Jersey Property & Casualty license required.
- 3–5 years of experience in personal and commercial lines insurance.
- In-depth knowledge of New Jersey insurance laws and carrier requirements.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
- Strong client service and relationship management skills.
- Experience with multiple insurance carriers and agency management systems.
- Self-motivated and organized with strong follow-through.
- Proven ability to retain clients and cross-sell across product lines.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $40,000–$50,000, plus commission and performance incentives.
