We are seeking a Licensed Property And Casualty Insurance Agent to join our team! You will be responsible for providing excellent service to the agencies policyholders.

** This position will train in person and then hybrid / remote work negotiable.**

** Role Objective**

We are seeking a Licensed Property and Casualty CSR to be the primary point of contact for our personal and commercial lines clients. You will manage the daily service needs of our policyholders, ensuring they receive the "Independent Advantage" through professional advice, timely policy maintenance, and advocacy during the claims process.

** Key Responsibilities**

• ** Client Advocacy:** Provide "extraordinary" service to Maryland and Virginia policyholders, handling inquiries via phone, email, and in-person visits with a focus on building long-term relationships.
• ** Policy Maintenance:** Process policy changes (endorsements), issue certificates of insurance (COIs), and provide auto ID cards or evidence of property insurance.
• ** Carrier Navigation:** Utilize carrier portals—specifically Erie Insurance , Progressive, and others—to quote, bind, and service policies.
• ** Account Rounding:** Identify gaps in current client coverage (e.g., suggesting a Flood or Umbrella policy) and proactively cross-sell additional lines of business to protect the client’s assets.
• ** Claims Support:** Assist clients through the initial stages of a loss, helping them file claims and acting as a liaison between the client and the carrier to ensure prompt and fair payment.
• ** Renewals & Reviews:** Conduct proactive policy reviews to ensure coverages are up-to-date and premiums remain competitive within our suite of carriers.
• ** Billing & Payments:** Resolve complex billing issues and assist clients with online payments and reinstatements.

** Required Qualifications**

• ** Licensing:** Must hold an active Maryland Property & Casualty (P&C) License (Virginia license is a plus).
• ** Experience:** Minimum 1–2 years of experience in an independent agency setting, preferably working with Erie Insurance or similar regional carriers.
• ** Values:** A commitment to the "family-owned" approach—treating every client’s time as important and delivering personalized, trustworthy advice.
• ** Tech Savvy:** Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• ** Communication:** Strong verbal and written skills; ability to explain complex insurance terms to clients in a clear, friendly manner.
