We are actively seeking a compassionate mental health therapist for our clinic who is committed to therapeutic excellence for our patients. You will be responsible for doing diagnostic assessments, making customized treatment plans with goals and objectives, providing crisis intervention as needed, and following up with patients to ensure they are receiving appropriate ongoing care. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of clinical experience working with mental health patients as well as a current LMHC (licensed mental health counselor) license. Responsibilities: • Determine the status of patients mental health by using medical information, interviews, observation, and testing, as well as collaboration with other staff members • Work with patients to develop individualized treatment plans with goals and objectives • Assist with intervention for patients when a crisis occurs • Refer patients and family members to community resources or to specialists as necessary • Reassess patient situations and provide appropriate follow-up care based on their current needs • Conduct and interpret psychological evaluations for clients and their families • Provide counseling and psychotherapy services to achieve treatment goals, reduce symptoms, and improve functioning Qualifications: • State licensure that is current, unrestricted, and in good standing for a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) or equivalent • Additional certifications required: CPR, BLS (Basic Life Support) • This position requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent and a bachelor’s degree in a field such as counseling or social work; we prefer a master’s degree • Must have 1-3 years of mental health experience in a clinical setting • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical ability as well as outstanding interpersonal and communication skills are needed • Independent licensure or close to sitting for exam - LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, PSYD, etc. • Must have at least a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Clinical Psychology Compensation: $60 - $85 hourly based on billing
